Security Check Early access
Find network risks before they cost you
The Reboot Shield Check is one on-site visit with the Reboot Shield Assessment Kit, our own branded laptop. It runs safe, non-destructive checks only, inside a scope you sign.
What the kit checks
- Network discovery and inventory: devices, open ports, risky services
- Vulnerability scanning with safe checks only, at a throttled pace
- Router, firewall, and Wi-Fi configuration review
- Endpoint basics: patch level, antivirus, disk encryption, admin accounts
- Microsoft 365 settings, read-only, if you grant temporary access
- Email domain setup (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) using DNS lookups only
- Default passwords, only on devices you list and initial: one manual login attempt each, with nothing changed
Permission first
Before any scan, an owner or officer with authority over every system signs a written authorization. It lists:
- In-scope networks, systems, and domains, plus exclusions (for example medical devices, phones, fragile printers, guest Wi-Fi)
- Allowed methods. Exploitation, denial of service, password guessing, phishing, and Wi-Fi cracking are never allowed during a Check. (Simulated phishing is a separate service that needs its own signed authorization.)
- The date and time window, an on-site contact, and how to stop the scan at once
- How your data is handled: encrypted on the kit, raw scan data deleted on a set schedule
What you get
A plain-English report ranked Fix now / Fix soon / Nice to have, a fix list with effort estimates, and a 30-minute review call. The kit and our tools stay with us. You get the report.
